I agree with Ras. At that point when you went to see him you guys are still getting to know each other. if he's talking to other girls well he has every right to, and you are naive to think otherwise. but the truth is he didn't really need to tell you at that point that he's talking to other girls. maybe sometime after he actually gave you a real reason to like him you could have a discussion about that. but if he wanted to just be honest with you, he should have told your before you spent your time and money to drive all they way to AZ to see him. The truth is that indian people don't know how to date and how to respect each other or themselves. just like you many girls make excuses for the guy because they are attracted to them and really want it to work. but honestly it shouldn't be that much work. you guys connected several time yet nothing came of it. he didn't go out of his way to see you in LA. he just happened to be there, to see another girl. it was convenient for him. but for you to drive 5 hours for him, I think you're already giving a lot and you're not even in a relationship with him. I don't think he's trying to be a jerk but he came off that way. You have to give yourself more respect and be able to see how the guy is really treating you. He's playing the field. If he was really into you he'd make more of an effort. doesn't mean that you're not worth it, just means he's not the one.

hmmm.. quite interesting story. I agree w/ you "not everyone has the strength of character" Bob didnt nor did his dad Roger. But my advice from one girl to another, don't ask why. See it for what it was and walk away. You seem like a very level headed, smart, and caring person. ( you called Roger on fathers day even though he repeatedly yells at you.. wow). Like the other commenter said, see it as a blessing in disguise. Everythin you have.. ur fellowship, ur home. ur parents home... all those possessions were a blessing that showed the true colors of Roger n Bob.

I know one day that Bollywood hero will come into your life. Goods things happen to good people. :)

p.s. thanks so much for sharing this story with all us other girls in LA . :)

What a loser and that AD he has posted, give me a break, no woman in this day and age would tolerate that

Consider this a blessing in disguise girl, you seem like a strong headed woman, imagine what your life would have been like, he needs to grow a set and stand up for himself.

I really think you should spend more time dating other men. There is a lack of respect from Eiks part and also on your part for yourself. I think you can agree you made too many excuses for his behaviour all night. Talking about other girls, driving down to see him. You are a lawyer, but you are selling yourself short. And after his cheesy line about the kiss... do you think you are the only one he said that to. I dont think he will get serious about you.. and frankly the challenge is gone. I hope you will give this guy the boot!

Wow, that was a good description. I can totally relate to your feelings. Often times we are guilty of maintaining double-standards without even realizing it. And I couldn't agree more as to how difficult it is to find that special someone. You're not alone in this boat.........just turn around and u'll be surprised.

hi "mr. I am going to India from my future wife"

First.. What kind of friends you have that take pics to prove they have slept with a girl... like they say your friends are a reflection of yourself.

Second.. If you think girls in India are Satti Savitris ( saints) then you need to go spend some time in Delhi and Bombay. Or better yet.. go visit some village where most people are having an affair with their neighbor.

There is this stereotype particularly for LA girls.. that we are sluts, we are party girls, we are BAD. But in reality, we are girls who still have the similar upbringing by Indian parents; however, we have been blessed to embrace all the varieties of LA.. be it the clubs, the mixers, the bars.. or the temples, mosques, and charitiy events. Being social is not wrong. Actually there is no right or wrong. There just IS.

But people like you... well ... good luck with your wife hunting in India.. uh I hope she doesn't leave you after her college degree in the US OR the green card after 2 years.. OR better yet the love of her life that is waiting in INDIA after she gets her green card.

Good luck my friend :)
