About

Published by Jag Mistry

Two friends were tired of the same old dating scene.  Still looking for men, they wondered if they were looking in the right places.  After attending many events, they realized that the odds of interacting with the right guy were pretty slim.  Not that there weren’t any good guys at these events, but just that the barrier to actually interact in the ‘dating’ scene was too high.

So they kept thinking of how, if they had the opportunity to do so, they would do the events totally differently.  They would add a lot of interaction and activities so that people actually got a chance to know one another.

Enter Jag.  A single male who just loved to attend weddings.  He thought this would be a great way to institutionalize his passion for getting other people married off.  Maybe he could do some more Bhangra he thought to himself.

The first day all three of them had a conversation about the company, oddly enough, they were invited to a wedding.  At the wedding, they drew up logos on paper napkins and wanted to expand the joy that everyone in that room was feeling.

Kismate, a play between three words: Kismat (meaning destiny), Kiss (meaning intimacy), and Mate (meaning patnership).

The dating scene here in LA makes me laugh. The Indians out here are weird. Oreo’s to the extreme. They all hate Indians, yet want to marry one.

    Stop trying to be gorah’s.
